Another weekend over...

Bless me Internet, for I have sinned. It has been 16 days since my last entry. ;-)

So, I figure I have to make an entry, 'cause I'm slacking again. Prepare for random, but when don't you?

We finished Lawrence Co. (Not a second too soon, it was getting too frustraiting down there.) Of course, now we're in Wayne (I hope I spelled that right) Co. (Wooster, for those with a slight mental map of OH). It's insufferably dull -- all we're doing is taking inventory/making recs that deal with the rail already installed in the county. And we've got existing Control Points from another job done there, so it's just keeping an eye that those are on, not entering them. It adds up to major boring, really. But it's pretty, and the roads are a lot better than Lawrence's were, so it'll work out. I'm guessing another three weeks on the job. One more to finish the county roads, and then it'll probably be another two at least to deal with the bridges on township roads.

Enough work. In the last week, I've had two dreams that I can sort of remember -- one involving Faith from Buffy, and one involving Pauley. (No, not those kinds of dreams. Get yer mind outta da gutter. *L*) The Faith one -- she was nonslayerfied, but deffinately the same character. I'm still not clear if it was that she was friends with my cousin, or somehow a replacement for 'Cole altogether. I remember hanging out -- I remember everyone was in this house sort of like mine, only larger, and it was out where Aunt Shirly's is, only there were more trees. Anyway, we'd hung out earlier in the dream, and then I was talking to Jennie, and I know it was very important that I tracked Faith back down wherever she'd gotten to, because she probably wanted to go sledding with the rest of us.

The Pauley one was a lot less involved. We were walking along this street -- shops along it almost tourist-y seeming area. It was either spring or fall, because he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. I remember reaching out to tug on the hood to get his attention for something. *shrug*

So, uhm, yeah. Work update, dreams I've had reccently -- that counts as a full diary update, doesn't it?

Someone has pointed out that perhaps it isn't that Origins is the weekend of Josh's show, but the weekend of FRFF. *frown* The trouble is, that it was going to be at least partially possible to do Origins and Josh's show both -- little bit of back-and-forth driving to make sure Talcott made it up here, but doable, y'know? But if Origins is the same weekend as FRFF... man. On the one hand, it'd be convienent to see Talcott and Amanda and Brian and Dave and Uriah and Shin and (most of these folks from at least slightly different quarters these days for the record).

On the other hand, FRFF marks a non-february opportunity to see the likes of Gella, Shelly, John -- y'know, all mannor of FruFolk who live distances that aren't really drivable for less than a really planned visit, as opposed to the folks I'd be seeing at Origins, who mostly are close enough that it's at least possible to see them more often. So, y'know, that's going to be all weird to try to work out for myself.

Oh, one more thing I can babble about. *Grin* Don't worry, I'm spoiler-free. I finished OOTP early this morning. Woulda had done by midnight last night, but my eyeballs needed a break, so I went out -- thought I'd only be out for a few hours, ended up staying out until after 4 because I ran into some folk and ended up pulled into a gabfest and Euchre (I'm sure that one's spelled wrong) game or two. I tore through it so fast, I'm sure I missed so very much detail. So I'm taking it with me to work to start a reread in the evenings this week. And... well, if I keep talking about Order of the Pheonix, I'm going to end up slipping and spoilering someone, so I'll stop now.

I don't wanna get up and go to work tomorrow. *sniffle* Yeah, I'm whiny, but I missed a bunch of sleep-in chances this weekend, and I didn't get out to go fishing as I'd figured on doing, so, y'know, yeah.

Oh, and we put the air conditioners in. So it's nice and livable in my room. And it's going to be hot this week. One more reason to be whiny about going to work. AC in the car or not, that's still a lot of working in the heat on my end of the job. Oh well. I'll survive. I'll need the money.

Crap. Speaking of, I have to go schedule my (final, I'm thinking) loan payment, before I forget and it ends up late.
