obligated updatey thing
Going to be a short, dull entry. I should make some sort of post, but I'm not in the mood to, so this is your obligatory thank-you-card sort of post.
Feel better after talking to people last weekend. As better as I can about the big thing that's out of my hands (beside my reactions to it, anyway), and just generally better about the identity-ish stuff. Yes, I know I'm still being Vaguey McVague. Hope that doesn't bother you, not going to be more specific if it does. I'm specific when I'm comfortable with it. (And or in cases where I'm certain others involved in my comments would be comfortable with it.)
Had a strange workweek. Could've been possibly done on Tuesday, for sure done by Wednesday afternoon -- worked our 40 anyway. Can't help that, it's ultimately the foreman's decision. I wish Bob were more foreman-y. I miss working with Kenny. Oh well. At least it thunderstormed.
I really love thunderstorms. I'm attempting to write a poem about this one storm rolling in -- I say attempting because what I jotted down while the storm was rumbling toward me was absolutely terrible, but I haven't really gotten around to reworking it yet, despite having spent my now customery Thursday and Friday afternoons in Amici to theoretically write.
Open Mike Night was great. Josh on a squeezebox. :-) Yes, Talcott, you missed great amusement and entertainment there. Ha-ha. Just had to move back to Cols, didn't ya. ;-) Just teasing, don't be mad.
Went out for a pint with Josh & Sarah, and some friend of theirs who I'm not sure I've caught the name of yet. That was fun.
Will miss Fuzzy playing a show at Amici tomorrow night, because Mum's decided she's going to take me up on my offer that she should come along with me to Kareoke (sp, I'm sure -- sorry) at Toussaint (to restate for those playing along at home, that's pronounced Too-sang) Tavern. And it'll be fun to do a night out with Mom, so that'll be worth missing what will probably be a good show.
And... uhm... Sleeping is weird lately. I'm alternating between sleeping more than usual and less than usual. That worries me -- varied sleep patterns usually crop up when I'm under serious stress, but I've actually been feeling more relaxed since talking last weekend. Which means that it's either something else, I'm getting sick (God no, I just ordered my FRFF ticket), or I'm like repressing or something instead of actually feeling better now that I've been able to get some of what's been in my head off my chest, to sort of half-mix a metaphore there.
And... and... I had a strange dream this morning, but now I don't remember it. Unless it was a strange dream yesterday morning (which is no more helpful in remembering it).
Er, and now I've shown I'm alive. More later in the weekend, if I'm not being a huge slacker.
