the internet hates me
The internet hates me this weekend.
OK, I'll be fair. Programs that are useful in relation to the internet hate me this weekend.
Trillian started choking whenever I tried to log onto the Yahoo ID I never messengered until I had Trillian which let me do that. Come to find out (as anyone who cares likely already knows) Yahoo is blocking third-party clients. That bugs me -- there are people that I at least sometimes talk to primarily-if-not-only via that Yahoo ID.
And this afternoon... IE ate my favorites (bookmarks, whatever you'd rather call them). One moment, everything was fine. The next time I brought up a browser window, absolutely nothing under favorites.
The favorites file folder still exists on the hard drive -- but only current through sometime in late '02. So I have some of my bookmarks back. But none of the reccent ones. Which would include address changes on some of the sites I access more-or-less regularly.
ARG!
There were other things that would have been in this entry.
You'll get them next time. Happy things, like seeing much live music this weekend.
For now, I think I'll very irkedly brood myself to sleep.
